Dear everyone,

It is with a lot of emotion that I am writing these words.

After four years of facebooking, instagraming, tumblering and, above all, blogging under the name of Thaïs Ribbon, it is time for me to say goodbye.

Thaïs Ribbon has been a wonderful adventure since the very first day.
It allowed me to explore fashion and writing in endless ways, create and imagine, meet extraordinary people, collaborate with brands, and even get a few friends. What and adventure!

I am particularly proud of the blog I build over the years and the content I created. Proud to have stuck to it for four years in a row. Proud to have open to the world. Proud to have pushed my boundaries. Proud to have dared.

I am proud of Thaïs Ribbon.

However, after four years, and as I explained in my last post (as well as on my last picture on instagram), I feel like I can't go on with Thaïs Ribbon anymore. I've grown, I've changed, I've created a company, and I've somehow slowly moved away from the blog I created the 31st of August 2013.

As difficult and heartbreaking it is for me, today, Thaïs Ribbon has come to an end.

As we're saying our last goodbyes, as Thaïs Ribbon is drifting away, I would like to thank all the people that helped me build this blog, as well as you, my readers. I will always have amazing memories from this adventure. Thank you <3

However, please do not go away too quickly................ you might miss something!

I am not known for giving up, and it won't start today!

As Thaïs Ribbon is ending today, a new blog is also starting.
Yes, you read me well.

Today, I am opening a new blog: The YMAGO Blog

Indeed, I decided to concentrate my efforts and time into my company, YMAGO Conseils sàrl, and create a blog related to my activity of image consultant, but also related to lifestyle, fashion and beauty. That's why I decided to put Thaïs Ribbon and YMAGO together, under the name of YMAGO.

So even if I won't use Thaïs Ribbon anymore, you'll have understand that I am just gonna use another blog with my real name and the name of my company, YMAGO.

The content will of course change a little from what I used to do on here, but in fact, I am just moving in another place.

So please, from today on, follow me on my YMAGO accounts, as the Thaïs Ribbon's ones won't be uploaded anymore.

You can now find me on YMAGO's: website - Facekook page - Instagram page - Blog

See you there :D

Lots of love and once again, thank you for everything <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

4 Years!

Happy birthday to the blog!
I can't believe it's already been four years since I started the whole Thaïs Ribbon adventure!

First of all, I wanted to thank you all for your support throughout the years. It warms my heart every time I read your comments, see your likes and your enthusiasm each time I publish something new on here or on my social medias. Thank you so much to all of you <3

I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I gathered the pictures taken from September 2016 to September 2017 to do my usual anniversary recap, because I published a lot less these last 12 months than the previous years. I wish I had plenty of different shots to recap here...but it's not the case.
Having thought a bit about this subject which, let's face it, tend to make me a bit angry at myself, I realised that I had a bunch of good reasons explaining why I have posted drastically less this last year.

Just after the blog's third anniversary in 2016, I launched my company, YMAGO, which has taken me so much time ever since. I also broke my camera (which was a big problem..:(), moved from my parents' house to my first apartment with 3 other persons and started two new jobs between March and May.
Since last spring, in fact, I struggle between 3 different jobs, a company to take care off, my apartment, and the people I live with. Lots of joy, but not an easy task at all.
That explains quite well why there has only been 15 posts from last September.

So today, I won't promise there will me more posts on the blog from tomorrow until the 31st of August 2018. I won't promise I'll do much collaborations, I won't promise you'll have something new to read very week. I won't promise anything, because I honestly don't know what I'll be able to do for the blog.

What I can promise is that I will do my best to provide you good content when I'll publish something, and that I'll for sure continue to post at least from time to time on here.

Please feel free to tell me in the comments what you would like to see on here :)

Cheers to Thaïs Ribbon and cheers to another blogging year!

Lots of love <3

Thaïs Ribbon X IBEA - Festival Vibe

Today's post is probably one of my favourite so far, hence my excitation since days to publish it and show it to you!

If you have a good memory and follow my blog for a long time, you'll remember that, about two years ago, I posted a collaboration with one of my dear friend who made jewellery.
Well two years later, she has created he own brand, opened her website and online shop, and is currently developing her brand in Switzerland. I am talking about IBEA Bijoux et Accessoires ! IBEA has a multiple range of jewellery, from silver pieces to more boho styled pieces and accessories. There is a lot of choice, and you should definitively head to her website to check her creations. She also offers big bags for summer, sold with a clutch, THE MOST practical thing when you're going to the beach or to a picnic!

Last summer, we had discussed about creating something around the festival vibe we particularly love. But the months went by and we didn't managed to find time to properly work on a solid project. However, with her brand being officially launched a few months ago, I thought it was more than time to get this idea back on track and shoot something cool for summer.

I shared my idea with Sam and Damian from Samyan Photographie, who were really interested in the project, and we ended shooting a whole afternoon in the fields, for a result that is by far exceeding my expectations.

So here it is, my festival vibe post.
My ideas of visuals and looks, the beautiful pieces from IBEA and the talent of Samyan Photographie combined together give a photographic result I am really proud of. We worked together to enhance each of us qualities, and I believe it is more than a success.

So now, let's dive into a boho world made of sun, music and happiness. Have a great journey :)

Lots of love <3

Vintage, Hermes and Red Lips

A few weeks ago, my Dad took me to a place called "Dogny Auction" in Lausanne. As you might guess by the name, it's a place where items that are gonna be sold at auction are exposed before the sale. What a discover! Once you enter the place that looks like a mix of a vintage boutique / a museum, it feels like you're traveling in time. Paintings, fournitures, decoration, clothes, accessories, curiosities, a whole world of hidden secrets opens up before your eyes.
I spent quite a long time walking around and admiring beautiful things.

Strangely, it reminded me of the times I was more into vintage things, more particularly about my look. Don't get me wrong, I never really liked to second-hand shop, but I indeed liked to put a little retro touch on my look or my outfits. I have lost this habit, and wandering in this almost parallel world gave me the envy to experiment again on this side.

Moreover, Régis and I were really enthusiastic about the whole atmosphere of the place and concept, and decided to bet on a few things...Yep.  Régis ended up winning an Hermes foulard I had particularly loved, and he very generously offered it to me :). And even though the foulard is timeless and still very modern, it made me want to create a kinda vintage look even more.

As Shein had sent me this T-shirt, I thought it would be a great basis for the foulard. I then decided to pair it with a dress I had ordered 2 years ago at Shein, that I transformed into a high-waisted skirt, and I was good to go!

Diana then had the marvellous idea to give a vintage touch to these pictures, which, I have to say, bring me back to Lana Del Rey atmosphere and aesthetic. If you know me, you probably know my love for her and her music, no need to say that I am a fan of the final result of this shoot.

I really hope you'll like it too :)

See you soon, lots of love <3

I always was one of those grils who spent probably too much time in the bathroom trying tons of different outfits, perfecting my makeup and searching for the best haircut. I honestly had such a great time playing with what was inside my wardrobe (and my mother's...and my sister's... no comment haha). I've often wonder were my "creative" part was hiding, as I am not particularly good at cooking, painting or anything artistic, really, but I believe I've always been good at creating outfits. That's were I express my creativity the best, which probably explains why I've become an image consultant.

However, running my own business, blogging, living in my own apartment and cumulating two part-time jobs means I have NO TIME for myself. Like, NO TIME.
My everyday struggle is to find a minute, an hour, to do something written in my never ending to-do list and ticking it. Before thinking about something else and adding it to the list. Which means the list NEVER EVER ends, or even gets shorter.
I haven't already found a rhythm, but I just started so many new things, so I guess it will come with time.

This means I have no more time to spend in the bathroom, doing sophisticated makeup and carefully choosing the best combination of clothes.
From the girl always wearing matching outfit, I've become the girl always wearing the same 4 outfits, again and again.
Quite ironic when you know what my job is.
They say "the shoemaker's son always goes barefoot" and in my case, I would say it sums up perfectly the situation.
Hesitating between crying or laughing at this crazy situation, I try to laugh... but it's sometimes quite heavy.

And somehow, in between all of my jobs, the only time I still take an hour to prepare myself is to take pictures for the blog. Haha. Also quite funny when you know this blog initially was aiming to show the outfits I was wearing during my everyday life, when now I especially dress for the pictures.
Where did time go in between?

Anyway, all of this rambling to finally say that I am particularly happy to have this blog as an excuse to take time I don't have to dress myself and correctly put makeup on my face ;)

Today I am happy to show you new pictures taken by Diana in collaboration with SHEIN
I spotted this cute top, and as I tend not to "dress up" that often, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to challenge myself a bit and, also, finally get out these Primark heels I have bought more than one year ago and never worn.

I hope you'll like these pictures!

See you next week for a new post :)

Lots of love <3

PS: for the curious, you can spot a part of my last tattoo. ;)
